Longitudinal Wave Dual-Crystal Angle Probe
● Performance Characteristics:
1.Zero initial wave blind zone.
2. Low scattering boosts SNR for high-attenuation and high-scattering materials.
3. Full refraction angles are longitudinal waves; any theoretical longitudinal wave angle is customizable.
4. Probe base can be machined into various shapes for optimal workpiece coupling, supporting AID, CID, AOD and COD detection modes.
5. Two performance series (PL general-purpose / R high-performance) cover most detection needs.

● Applications:
1. Nuclear industry
2. Austenitic coarse-grained steel materials
3. Near-surface defect detection
4. Weld inspection of different plate thicknesses
5. Detection of other high-attenuation materials

Additional Notes

1、The default performance type of the probe is Series R.

2、The delay block of the probe is preset to protrude 4 mm; an embedded delay block is available upon customization.

3、The probe is equipped with a Type DA housing by default, featuring no water inlet pipe or water guide groove. For scanning applications requiring fixture clamping, the housing can be replaced with Type CDA (fitted with water inlet pipe, water guide groove and clamping holes).

4、FS stands for focal sound path and FD for focal depth. The conversion formula among FS, FD and β is:Cosβ=FD/(FS+0.5D), where D denotes the bore diameter.

5、Groove markings on both sides of the housing indicate the incident point; the arrow on the top marks the acoustic axis direction, and the red circle on the top signifies that the connector on this side is the transmitting terminal (T).

6、The probe is fitted with a top-mounted Lemo-00 connector as standard; side-mounted connector orientation can be customized.
